GREEN TIP OF THE WEEK (GTW)

Happy Monday my fellow Readers!  Here is this weeks GTW

GREEN TIP OF THE WEEK:  USE LESS WATER!!!!

Water consumption is something that people (myself included) don't really consider when doing our everyday rituals.  There are thousands of countries around the world that have little or no access to water.  How much water do you consumer a day?  Click here to calculate your water intake.

A whopping 3.9 trillion gallons of water is used per day in the US.  via.  Thats pretty tough for me to wrap my hear around!  Here are some simple ways you can save your water consumption.

*Wash all your dishes in the dishwasher!  Washing dishes by hand actually consumes more water!

*Shorten the lengths of your shower by five minutes-this can be tough for some but just speed up the process in there!

*Turn the faucet off when brushing your teeth!

*Use rainwater to water your plants and other living things that need water.

*Use as much water as you can from your local water source.  Us Chicagoans, should use the faucet/drink tap water (along with a purifying system to those who are water snobs) as much as you can.

See all this is super easy!  A small change can go a long way!
